895 Lighting Activity

Have set up a new activity on my Harmony 895 to control my living room lighting. The device works ok and I can turn the lights on/off and dim ok.

The problem I get is when I set up the activity it affects all my other devices as it asks you whether you want them on or off. i.e. I dont want my sky/tv/dvd to be turned on or off if i press the lights activity, I just want the lights to be activated and everything else stay as it is whether on or off.

Is there a way to do this, as after a few hours of messing around I cant seem to find a way, other than controlling the lights from devices instead of activities?

Re: 895 Lighting Activity

Look under "customize" then "Activity options" for the lighting activity.
There is an option to "Leave on unused devices".
This will mean that nothing is turned off when you select the lighing activity, and, since the lighting controller should be the only device in the lighting activity, no other devices will be turned on either.

Re: 895 Lighting Activity

I took a different approach. I set up my light switch as a device, but didn't create a lighting activity. I configured the lighting device to be "always on", and added it to all the other activities.
I then configured the "prev" button to be the "on/off toggle" for the light switch.

This works perfectly for me.
