...from the 70's i think. Lady songer had a really destinctive voice (her name was something like Noosha Fox...?) had a few singles which I liked at the time (Single Bed?) but never ever heard them being played since 70's (or was it the 60's?). Nobody I know seems to remember them so perhaps its an implanted memory thing...?
Cheers

Remember them?.... yes:cool:
S.s.s.single Bed,...... Imagine Me, Imagine You.......Only You Can.
Apparently these were recorded in the same studio when Queen's Night At The Opera, hence Roger Taylor's backing vocals.

Quite an old message but I recently did a search on Google for information on Noosha Fox myself (that's actrually how I found this web site) and was pleasantly surprised to find so much information out there about her.
The lady herself is from Australia and is still alive and kicking.
Can't understand why she was not more successful in the UK. Because I was a DJ both on radio and as a mobile DJ I owned (and still have) all of Noosha and Fox's singles and albums on vinyl.

Noosha Fox also had a single afterwards, Georgina Bailey, which was some sort of transvestite/transexual tale. Quite an eye opener to a sheltered 12 year old!
I think there's a new compilation out now of the band, it was reviewed on Channel 4's teletext music section today.

The first two albums, Fox and Tails Of Illusion are both out on CD with extra tracks, etc. Well worth a purchase.
Fox are one of those bands that are terribly underrated. Noosha in particular has influenced loads of people with her distinctive vocal style, from Kate Bush to Clare Grogan (See Those Eyes in particular is a dead ringer).
Noosha Fox also did the original version of The Heat Is On too, later covered by Agnetha Faltskog :smashin:
