Not what I expect for a Bond tune though. Like Madonnas effort will come down to wether you like the type of music.

Liked the Garbage one from The World Is Not Enough. Done in the style of a bond tune. Once again though Massive Attack still wrote one of the best bond themes that wasn't a bond theme.

I have to say I prefered it when it was not realy in the style of the music of the day, most of the early Bond tune where the best and were not made to please the mass market record buying public.

I think the first one to break the mold was Live and Let Die.

cornell's effort is really good, but i like hear the title of the film in the song, makes it more 'bond'. but Madonna's effort took that too far! cant remeber if there was anything else sung on that one!

although a small point, apart from Dr No,OHMSS & Octopussy every other song had the title mentioned in it..

From Russia With love was not motioned in the title of the main tune as it was an instrumental. The song was played during the film over the radio and on the end titles. Still think this just beats Goldfinger as the best Connery Bond film.

True, but it was not over the top modern and really would not fit in with pop of the day and was more like some of other Barry theme music away from songs, It remines me of the music used in The Spy Who Loved Me music at the stat of the film where he is skiing away from the lodge and is being chased.

You will never beat " Nobody does it better" for a great Bond title song. Just my opinion of course:grin:

Sorry. Was refering to "Sly" by Massive Attack. Not a Bond theme, but always sounds like it could have been
