Having watched this on halloween on r1 dvd I have to ask why did they bother making a remake. The new version is not a patch on the original. Very poor remake i think. 2 out of 10

I watched 20mins of it before turning it off! I thought it was rubbish! Acting was poor, the look of the film was poor - just poor!

Plus the two peeps the got to play the parents are two actors I don't like - in as far as I have liked virtually nothing they have done and don't rate all that highly - so that weren't working for me either!

if it ain't broke don't fix it, very poor IMO, lets hope they dont try and remake the 2nd one

Oh dear. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the fairly large budget spent on the movie (especially the sound) was well worth it.
I certainly enjoyed it more than the original.
I must be odd because both my wife and I tend to enjoy virtually all the re-makes in comparison to the rather dated, and in most cases, terribly acted originals.

i thought it was an excellent remake and loved the "red" snatches before the deaths.very good film.
