Can i run differant brand 7900gt cards in sli?

I am thinking of upgrading to a new pc.

A while ago I upgraded from a 6600gt to a 7900gt however ocasionally I get a blue screen saying "windows had to shut down to prevent damage, If you have recently installed new hardware uninstall it..........."

So if I get a 6600gt to sell with my current pc and keep the XFX 7900gt, then buy a new PC with a 7900gt and sli mobo, will I be able to run the two 7900gt cards together if they are differant manufacturers and differant clock speeds, or will I have problems?

Yes you can. I do it with a pair of 7800GTX's. The clocks will match whatever is in the primary PCI-E slot, so I'd either make sure the slower one can run at the higher one's clock speeds or I'd just keep the lower one in primary and let the faster one downlclock.....if that makes sense lol
