Audigy connection to receiver. Is it possible with camcorder cable,3.5mm jack to 3rca

I have a dilema over connecting my PC creative labs audigy 2 zs sound card to my Yamaha AX750se receiver by analogue connections. My digital connection jack snapped inside the sound card and now my digi out no longer works so am now looking to make analogue connections. One connection can be made between a 3.5mm jack to 2x rca cable. However the two other 3.5mm jacks on the audigy need to be connected to 2 cables with each one having 3 x rca outputs. The Creative labs cable which would have took care of the connections is only 2m long and I need a cable that is 5m. I want avoid buying that cable then having to buy rca extenders to make the 5m. I have been considering a cable initially intended for camcorder use. It has a 3.5 mm jack to three rca, although the three rca are left and right audio and video. My question is would the video rca carry the sound signal to my receiver and would everything be hunky dory? Any help would be appreciated.
