I have a standard cable package get BBC1,2 ITV,Channel4 & 5 Sky1 BBC News, but have just bought a new HD TV with a built in Freeview tuner.
My query is this: can I get all the freeview channels by connecting my aerial cable direct into the tv or will it only work by connecting to an outside aerial. which would mean the purchase of a new aerial and getting it installed.
I used to have Sky but binned it recently.
The cable package is the basic system that comes uncoded into my aerial socket via the NTL cable
Any help!

You need your own rooftop aerial to get freeview. Cable do not pip it through :(

you could also use youe sky box to receive most of the freeviw stations through the dish but again it wont work on the built in freeview decoder.
