Lumagen Vision DVI - Change of Screen

Hi all,

I currently run a Lumagen Vision DVI by RGBHV into a Panasonic PWD6 panel (RGBHV board).

I'm changing to a Panansonic PH9 panel and wondered whether it would be beneficial to change the output of the scaler to DVI and feed it into a DVI input board....or should I just keep the RGBHV connection/board?

Any thoughts appreciated,

Steve

Re: Lumagen Vision DVI - Change of Screen

Bump ^

EDIT: If I maintain the RGBHV board/connection method, what settings/re-calibration (if any) would be needed regards the resolution of the HD panel?

Yours confusedly!

Re: Lumagen Vision DVI - Change of Screen

I'd stick with RGBHV until you come to need to do something about HDCP.

Change your 50 and 60 Hz output profiles from 720p resolution to 768p resolution and that's it. All the other settings will simply point through the two new output resolutions. Just leaves you to use internal test patterns to set grayscales and overscan etc on the plasma itself.

Thanks Liam, sounds like sensible advice as ever. Gordon set my scaler up before so this would be my first delve into the scaler settings
