Pc help required [Archive]

My mother has just phoned all in a fuss!! her pc isnt working and im not sure what the fault could be, what the problem is is that when turned on the pc the keyboard does not work, neither the mouse??
she has tried two different keyboard and mice and nothing work, without the keyboard working there isnt much i can do so before i drive over is there anyone here with some advice:lease:

has she got a usb or ps2 mouse and keyboard?

She might have turned off or disabled her usb ports.

its ps2 ports,colour coded so she cant get them wrong way round

have any pins broken off or have they bent etc?

no nothing damaged, and shes tried two keyboards?

Can't be a driver issue can it really..

Maybe something has come loose inside the unit?

yeah maybe, think il have to open it up and have a look, maybe a connector from the motherboard has come undone?
