Twin Tuners in MCE - do they have to be the same brand?

I'm looking to get another TV Tuner for MCE, I already have a Blackgold, but I want to get a TwinhanDTV (D+A) for the second tuner. I have two questions then:

1. If I get the TwinhanDTV and use it in conjunction with the Blackgold can I use MCE's twin tuner ability?

2. Do I need to connect both of them to the aerial feed, or can I just connect the Twinhan?

I am interested in the Twinhan, and not a second Blackgold, because the Blackgold does not have an aerial passthrough connection on it, whereas the Twinhan does.

Thanks

Paul

Yes, you can use different brands of tuner - but you cannot mix digital and analogue - both the tuners will need an aerial feed.

Thanks Lisa, your answer was very helpful to me.

In that case I think I might sell my Blackgold and buy two cards with aerial passthrough like the TwinhanDTV (D+A).

I'm using a Black Gold and a Hauppage DVB-T PCI card, which works fine. The Hauppage has a pass through, but I haven't tried using it.

Thanks again. I've actually got a booster that can do passthrough but didn't put two and two together . Now all I need is a second TV Tuner.
