music files 3k missing

just spent days / weeks sorting out my music collection, if i do a right click properties on "my music" folder i am told i have 18500 files.
In media center when i select songs down at the bottom it says i have 15500 songs, do i have 15.5k or 18.5k? i posted this a month or so ago and a kind viewer suggested i run "album art fixer" did that and it solved tons of problems and really cleaned up my collection, however still got this discrepancy. any ideas?
I have a number of the same songs duplicated but this shouldn't make any difference as media centre list them seperatly. help.....

is mce / media player set to recognise all the file types you have in the folders ? You need to manually set this via regedit for OGG / AAC / etc.
