Bought one on Friday, delivered Monday.
Watched Gladiator last night on a 92 inch diagonal screen,
picture filled the entire screen and was perfect.

I contacted Jeff (RTFM) over a week ago to ask a few questions about the projector and he was very helpful, explaining some issues I was concerned about with quite a few PMs going back and forth between us.
When I decided to buy it on Tuesday, he moved very quickly and as I only had one free day during the week to site in and wait for it to be delivered, he made the time to send it out to me for arrival Wednesday and also made sure that Sim2 would send a ceiling fitting out to arrive at the same time.
Since then Jeff has been answering a few more questions I had that were specific to the projector and my setup, very patient all the time.
The product arrived in very good condition and has clearly only been used @ assembly for Quality Control reasons (only 20 hours on the lamp at arrival, it is normal for them to have anything up to 60 on the clock I believe, depending on random tests etc).
The picture is phenomenal, very bright, detailed and good black detail too - everything people say about sim2 being a cut above is true.
Cant recommend this projector or Jeff enough : both are a credit to the AV industry :)
All SIM2 projectors go through a thorough test proceedure before they leave the factory and 20 hours on the lamp is a typical figure to see on the "info" page when first powering up the projector.
Does anyone know how these excellent projectors compare with the latest Sony HS50 please. Decisions, decisions
Regards,
John

John,
Your best bet is to have a demo and see for yourself.
I guarantee you won't be disappointed ;)

John,

I guarantee you won't be disappointed ;)Hi Jeff,
Please forgive my rudeness for asking but I am practically bed-bound and cannot get out.
I would love to have a demonstration and I am 100% confused over whatI want.
I want an excellent picture and have set an absolute maximum budget of £3000. I haven't a clue on whether to go for plasma, LCD or projector. My wife has bought me a couple of magazines, but that has only added to my confusion.
I tend to buy on recommendations, but none of my friends have the items I am thinking about buying:confused:
Regards,
John
Hi John
I guess you need to ask yourself a few questions to decide which kind of display
best suits your needs.
There's no doubt in my mind front projection will give you that wow factor when watching movies that you won't get from smaller displays such as plasma and LCD.
With FP you need to have control over the ambient light in the room to get the best picture. The darker the environment the better the image will be.
One of the great aspects of the SIM2 projectors is their long lamp life which is typically 6000 hours for the Domino range and 8000 for the Grand Cinema range.
Hope this helps.
Jeff
Just to let you know, we only have one new Domino 30H left, black shadow finish.
Thanks, Jeff.
Sorry to say the SIM2 Domino 30H projectors have all found loving homes, however we do have one Projection Design Action Model 2 projector in white which uses Dark Chip 3 technology at £1995, that's £1500 off list price.
This has optical lens shift like the SIM2 units. Similar peformance to a SIM2 HT305E which was £5000.
We have one black SIM2 Domino 30H remaining. Mint condition with 450 hours on the lamp and one year warranty at £1495
