Roof Ariel extension connecter thingy.

I hope someone can help me. I have a lead running down from the Ariel in the roof (coaxial I think) and its just a bit to short, so I have another lead (of the same) and need to connect them together. Can someone please tell me the correct way of doing this and what the connecter thingy is called to join the two cables?

I beleive all you need is a coupler. It will look like the end of your aerial you are going to connect but double sided. They can be had from BnQ wickes etc for about a pound.

I would use 2 x Screw F (Crimp F are better but you have the cost of the crimper so not worth it in this instance) and a threaded barrel.

You could use a Male and a Female Belling Lee connector but the threaded F route is a more secure connection, espescially if you have pets/kids/hybrid of the two.
