Not good from what I've heard. As they broadcast via FM they can only be as good as FM quality. I imagine they could be subject to interference too.

Re: FM Modulator..whos got one installed

Found the Dension one fitted in my Astra very good. Some slight hissing between tracks and quiet passages of music. But since the Ipod is gapless between tracks not really noticable now and could only really be heard when the car was stationary.

Have had some slight interference travelling at certain places but as the modulator has seven preset frequencies , just reset the frequency and no more problems.

There was no other way to fit an Ipod into a 2006 model Astra so very happy with it.

The frequency response is 30Hz to 15000Hz, compared to a CD player which is 20Hz to 20000Hz. But the average persons hearing is very unlikely to go above 16000Hz so you are not really losing much sound in the treble.

i could get one, or i could downgrade the HU to the 6000cd and buy a dension ICE link, or change HU to 'normal' sized unit, but im just not sure...

Re: FM Modulator..whos got one installed

Hi, I just got the Belkin Tune Fm for my Ipod. Connected it to my 2005 Audi
A4 Tdi. Never expected much so was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Also as a bonus the whole configiration fits in the Audi cup hoder a treat and makes IPOD easy to use at eye level. Also tried it in wifes 2006 Honda CRV CDti, nowehere as good as Audi for rection also nowhere to put Ipod to ensure Good reception.
In short i think you have try it in you vehicle to see if it is a feasible option. For me best £40 i spent and as a bonus also charges Ipod in the car.
