anyone have a nvidia7600 512mb gfx card

does anyone herer run a nvidia 7600 512 mb gfx card, if so are they any good?

Those cards don't need 512mb, it's wasted on them. Better to save cash and go for the 256mb version unless they're the same price.

Whether they're any good depends on what you want to do with it.

i want to change my pc, i have a 6800 256 gt and i think its struggling now with newer games, i will see my mate tomorrow who has a pc shop in our town and just wanted to know what card to order, has to be nvidia as he is a dealer for them.
any recomendations for a card for playing new and upcoming games at good performances.
suppose i'll have to change my motherboard and processor too though

Is your current motherboard AGP or PCI-E? If it's AGP, your cheapest option is to get a PCI-E board that supports your current processor and memory, and a 7900GS or 7900GTO. If you're already on PCI-E, then either of those 2 cards will just plug straight in and give you a massive increase in graphics horsepower.

You have to move to pcie. You won't get much better than what you already got on agp. The 7900gto is a great buy at 160 pounds but I doubt that pc shop will have it.

Lol, what I meant was I need to know what socket type your on (socket A, socket 754, socket 939, am2 etc.) and what type of ram you have (ddr or ddr2).
