Sony DAV-S800 Replacement?

I understand that Sony are due to release the DAV-S550 later this year (September I think) which has Prologic II processing and MP3 playback capabilities.

I was wondering if anyone out there is aware of any new product currently in development by Sony, which is based on the DAV-S800 (possible called DAV-S850?) which incorporates these features.

I'm wanting to buy the DAV-S800, but I think I'll wait until it's replacement, thats if there is one...

the new range consists of the models - DAV-S550 DAV-S770 DAV-880 and DAV-S1000, i cant remember the spec's of the models but ill find out and get back to you. i think, but dont quote me, one of the model is multi disc but i cant be sure

DAV-S880 has DPL2, MP3, Component Video Out, 60w X 5 not 50w X 5 and upgraded three-way speakers with clip-off grilles, due September 2002.

Slight improvement but still missing scart connections by all accounts.

However, be careful not to mix up the US version with the UK version.

Thanks for the info... Will the new models be available in the UK and will the speaker design of the DAV-S880 be the same design as the DAV-S800...?

2. If you are referring to integral pillar support, yes.
