FAO Denon 2900 owners - setup tips required

Hi there.

I'm in need of some hints & tips to get the best picture quality out of my recently acquired Denon DVD-2900.

I've got it connected up via component to my Panny 42PX60, but I'm just not getting blown away by the picture quality compared to my Pioneer dvd recorder that I've been using up until now (via component too).

I was expecting a big jump in picture quality over my Pio dvd recorder, but it really isn't that much different in terms of PQ. Which leads me to believe that I'm doing something wrong or my Pio is a very good performer over component. Sound quality has slightly improved which I'm pleased about.

Any setup tips?

Hi craig, have you turned progressive scan on in the 2900 menu?

Yep, progressive is turned on.
