My XFX Geforce 7950GX2 graphics card has blown and I am awaiting it's replacement. As this is likely to take a week or so, and my PC is just sitting their 'dead' at present I am after a temporary budget GFX card.
Therefore can anyone recommend a budget Nvidia (don't want to reinstall drivers!) PCI-E card capable of handling CounterStrike? Looking to spend £40-£50?

Anyone? I know £50 isn't going to buy me gaming's best graphics card but surely someone has a suggestion?

No! At present I only get to use my PC at weekends and I doubt I will get a replacement 7950GX2 card before Friday. Ergo if I don't buy a temp new card now there'll be no Counterstrike: Source for me this weekend :( And last weekend (where I only had to go without on the Sunday) was enough to tell me that is rubbish! £50 for a weekend's gaming isn't so bad.

What about a 6200. I used to have one and could run BF2 and medium but i don't know how the specs needed for BF2 and CSS compare. The 6200 23.99

1024x720. But then I got a new monitor and graphics card so i don't know what it would be like at higher res.

Very high probability that your 6200 will commit suicide running at 1280x1024. :rotfl: :suicide:
