I afraid that it will take a year for h/w manufacturers to get Vista and WDK logos...

What do you think guys - I am going to buy TV tuner card soon. May be it is sensible to buy any (ATI for instance) and then forget for Vista as MCE and use both (Vista as a main OS and Xp MCE for media centre)?

I mean - is it possible to guess - what card will be supported in Vista MCE? I am not going to wait a year without the TV in my PC.

I really wouldnt trust that as being 100% fact. It says on the Tuner page - no true hybrid support. Then a few pages later says Roadmap for true hybrid in 2007. I.E everything will get actioned within time.

Its more a case of the TV Tuner companies issuing driver support. Using Vista RC1 we have support from the PVR150, Nova T, NovaT500 and the Kworlds. Some have channel issues but they recognise the card straight off, so just a matter of time. I expect this to be actioned pre-2007.

That presentation seems more aimed at the American Cablecard/HD-DVD camp that need information for which technologies they will be supporting.
