Vista MCE - Tuner Setup Correction ??

Setup Vista on a partition last night. All went well
with the install. When I ran the Tuner setup, selected country and area
and it listed my local Cable provider. Dublin - NTL Analogue.
Thing is the signal isn't properly tuned in. The picture is jumping as is
the sound.
How can you tune it correctly ? I remember under XP I'd modify the registry settings ?

Dual Boot Vista + XP
Tuner Card = API 550 Theater Tuner
1GM RAM
3Ghz CPU

thanks
Ronan

ps so far it's pretty cool when hooked up to 360

Re: Vista MCE - Tuner Setup Correction ??

This won't be much help but I have the same settings (Dublin NTL Ana.). Picture and sound perfect. I'm using a WinTV PVR2 USB.

It could be your NTL???

Suggest this is moved to "Other OS forum". Not MCE2005 related.

Re: Vista MCE - Tuner Setup Correction ??

Mod - if you think it's more appropriate can you move it to the OS
forum. I thought because it was a relating to the media/tuner part of the application was appropriate here.

Thanks for the feedback so far. The NTL signal is perfect when put through the tv. Under XP changing the values in

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\

allowed you to change the frequencies. Just to test I modified some of the values and also deleted the TVAutoTune tree from the registry but it still came up with the same crappy picture. Does anyone know where Vista stores the appropriate frequencies

thanks
R
