Hi Guys :hiya:

I found out last week that on December 7th Broadbad will be switched on in my area  I am so chuffed but need to see on getting a provider. We are told we will be getting 'up to' 2mb although some say we may get faster

I was thinking of going for the Total BT Home Hub package ( £26 a month, but i only pay half  )

I though it would be ideal as i want to wirelessly connect my XBox 360 and PC from upstairs and use a wired connection from the Family PC downstairs

Has Anyone else got Home Hub? Is it reliable and easy to set up?

Do you have to use the phone that comes with it? I am also assuming that 40GB a month download limit is sufficent

Is it reliable and easy to set up?It's reliable depending on which firmware version you use. Takes about 30secs to setup, literally plug and play. Don't bother using the install disc, all it does is install bt yahoo junkware.

Do you have to use the phone that comes with it?No, not at all.

As for download limit, depends on your surfing habits.

PS, might wanna check your spelling of Brothers In Arms in your sig.

What do you mean excatly when you say 'depends on which firmware yu use?'Theres 3 different firmwares floating about - H, K, and M. The K firmware has given alot of people (including me) alot of problems, like random disconnects. Whereas the H and M firmware are brilliant.

Also i am assuming i won't need amything else. I have XBox wireless adpater and PC wifi card, so am i ready to go.Yup, thats all you need.

oh, how long does it take for them to send it to youThink mine took about 3 weeks. You might get it quicker now, as the demand has died down.

3 weeks

As it's not avaialbale till 7th December and Xmas is only 18 days later, may not bet it until the new year if that's the case.

Also, how do i make sure i get the H or M firmware?

So does the install disk update the modem/router then? I've heard that there is automatic updates for that. Appreciate any comments.
