Sagam 62160

Doe's anyone know if you can transfer recordings from this to your computer. I've looked around the net but not been able to find the answer ?

Possible, but not easy.

PVR - Sagem PVR6240 - upgrade hard disk

Thanks but thats about installing a bigger HDD and this one already has a 160GB

Go back and have a read of the thread. The OP asked two questions - firstly about installing a new HDD, and secondly about extracting files from the disc. I answered both in post #2 and provided a link for the PC utility you need and a link for more information...

So in truth you can't really transfer files from the STB unless you remove the HDD

The only models which allow direct transfer are the models fitted with a USB connector - certain 7200 series models. I'm not sure about your 62160, but the other 6200 models are not so equipped.

Have a read of the relevant thread on the Sagem PVR forum, really that contains all the known information.
