I want to put my films into a library on my pc? I would like to be able to show a library of films with there video covers as icons and they automatically start when selected. I don't want to design the interface myself, how can i do that?

You can either use something like MyMovies (http://www.mymovies.name/), or just rip the DVDs to a folder in My Videos, and then place an image called folder.jpg in the folder with your cover artwork.

DVDLobby is excellent as a complete answer. I used to use DVD Profiler to catalogue my films and get artwork, data etc to attach to my ripped VOB's but the interface on DVDLobby is so easy to use and the whole software package is not expensive.
Just be prepared for the outlay on a decent NAS box or two to keep up with the storage requirements. I'm using a Buffalo 1Tb Terrastation pro and even that is only holding less than 200 titles even after stripping out the trailers and extras! Now saving for a second one.
