Will i need a new graphics card for DX10?

I am intending on getting a new PC in January with Windows Vista and all the rest of it. Will i be able to use my geforce 6800gt and get dx10 as a download for it or should i sell the whole of my current system and get one with a newer Graphics card with DX10

Re: Will i need a new graphics card for DX10?

You will be able to install DX10, like I have DX9 installed atm with my Radeon 9200 (which is DX8.1).
However, to experience the true benefits of DX10, you will need a DX10 card.
Considering when DX10 cards are released, your 6800gt will be 2 generations old, If you can afford it, I would probably be inclined to get a DX10 card.
