Does anyone know which software is currently capable of outputing an high definition slide show, besides Roxio's Easy Media Creator 8 Suite? This software puts annoying frames around the pictures. Even if we don't select any frame, it is unable to make a full screen slideshow.
From what I've learned, the output is usually in DivX HD format.
Thanks

The latest version of iPhoto on the Mac can edit HD video, so can't see why it wouldn't be able to create slideshows in HD resolutions.
Playback is going to be a problem though... it doesn't look like you can output H.264 Quicktime files.
What are you going to use to playback the slideshows?
EDIT: Sorry, just tried it. You can make a custom sized Quicktime Movie with H.264 encoding giving you HD resolutions. Looks pretty good.

Oh, Well surely any slideshow would work if you're going to output directly from your notebook?
What exactly do you mean by HD slideshow?

Any software that is able to put toghether in a video file photos + music + commens in high definition: 720p or 1080i (1920*1080 lines) formats. The idea is to use now the notebook, but to use in the near future a blueray/HD-dvd to read it (or at least a DVD player with upscaling to HD formats.
The only workaround I know is to make a slideshow as SD mpeg ( with say ProShow Gold) and " upscale" it to HD with , Say Canopus Procoder express. I dont think there is any Slideshow software which has one of its outputs as an HD format:
DIvx or WMV HD
