Dark Angel

Was just reading on the R2-Project that Dark Angel is to be released on DVD later this year. I have never watched it - I missed the first few episodes on Sky so never bothered watching it. I have heard good things about it though. What are people's opninions? Any good?

Cheers.

I didn't like it. I thought it was a bit dumb. My little bro loved it though.

The first series wasn't bad and it's worth watching for "Max" herself.

As with many programmes of this type the writers had run out of ideas by the time of the second series and it quickly went downhill

Sorry to disappoint Dark Angel fans but the shows been cancelled
in the US. Instead its been replaced by Joss Whedons (creator of
Buffy - for those who didn't know) new sci fi show "Firefly". Unless
another US network takes it on there will be no series 3.

Damn, I thought you meant the film "Dark Angel" also known as "I Come In Peace", with the multi talented thespian, Dolph Lungren.

Dark angel TV series was very dull. Watched the first 6 or so episodes, and lost interest, the story just never got going, and in the end i didn't give a damn about any of the characters...

channel 5 is only a few episodes in but apart from Max herself it doesn't look as though it has much going for it.

If you like Jennifer Alba (aka Max) watch Idle Hands, a terrible/brilliant horror comedy which also stars Seth Green. Very silly but a great post-pub film.

Great line from Dolph who replies to the Alien's poorly thought out defence of "I come in peace"

"And you GO in pieces!"

I find Dark Angel great idea with rather poor implementation. Funny with such a high budget

Does any one know why/how the Region 2 version is widescreen?

The region 1 and Japanese version (whatever region that is) are 4:3 for season 1 and channel 5 showed season 1 in 4:3 too.

I'm starting to think that they may have butchered the 4:3 version to make a widescreen version for the UK, as in there is actually less visible in the widescreen version than in the 4:3.

I don't know how I'm going to find out. If this is the case I'll get the region 1 version, it's cheaper apart from anything else.
