Hi,
I'm using a sweetspot SDI capture card with Sky +. I've noticed in the advanced settings within D Scaler that there are Powerstrip settings for PAL and NTSC sources.
How do I tell D Scaler what my timings are or is this irrelevant?
TIA
Chris

In order to clarify this I should add more detail.
I am running Powerstrip to produce a 1024 x 768 50Hz resolution and use a Sweetspot SDI capture card to capture Sky+ and D Scaler to deinterlace.
In D Scaler there is an option to "Use Powerstrip Resolution"
The "General Screen" shows that D Scaler detects a PDI input and that it is a PAL resolution. In the advanced settings of D Scaler there is a section dealing with resolutions according to the signal type ie PAL or NTSC. It appears that you can set a different set of timing parameters for both types but I am unsure how.
What this also has me thinking is that if I have not told D Scaler what my timings are, is it using the Powerstrip resolution I have set regardless or is it sending the signal to the graphics card which is then scaling it?
TIA
Chris
