VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
If you require a Bi-wire loudspeaker cable that wont break the bank this is an excellent choice.
Similar in construction to the very popular VanDamme Blue Series speaker cables the Black Series feature fine stranded conductors and utilise the latest PVC composite jacket materials to provide the highest level of flexibility married with totally efficient signal transmission.
This range of cables is ideal for HiFi 'Stereo' and Home Theatre 'Multi channel' installations where you want to Bi-wire your loudspeakers.
VanDamme use a higher purity oxygen free copper for the conductors which improves the ‘solderability’ and conductivity of the conductor resulting in faithful and transparent signal reproduction.
With the Multicore cables individual colour coded conductors are wrapped around a compressible hollow synthetic filler which is filled with natural textile fibres. Any undue torsion imposed on the speaker conductors during flexing is dissipated through this special filler preventing possible buckling or deformation of the cable.
• 4mm Multicore designed for high power systems
• 2.5mm cable specifically designed to fit in XLR connectors
• Newly developed multicore construction method
4 x 4.0mm Black Series SRP £4.61/m - PowerBuy price £3.82/m
4 x 2.5mm Black Series SRP £2.80/m - PowerBuy price £2.33/m
Prices are for un-terminated lengths - 4mm Banana plugs, Spade connectors, XLR, Speakon or Pre Tinned can be specified; please call for details.
Prices shown are Inclusive of VAT.
Next Working Day UK Insured delivery is £11.15 per order - up to 20Kg.
Best regards
Joe

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hello Stel
The 4x2.5mm cable ought to be sufficient - if you can accommodate it the 4x4.5mm wont do any harm and may be a better option if you have high powered amplification.
I'll PM you pricing details tonight.
Best regards
Joe

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
hi,
i'm after some new cables for my fronts and center, i would like 2 x 2.5m (4x4mm) and 1 x 1m (4x4mm) all terminated with banana plugs, can you give me a price for that please.
i have 2 runs to go to the rear speakers, the rears are KEF TDM34DS and the surround back are KEF TDM65DS, they are both single binding posts and i guess i would be looking for a pair of 10m and a pair of 7m would you recommend the Vandamme blue 2x2.5mm? could i have a price for that too.
Thanks,
Shane

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hi Joe can you please give me a price for 10m of 4 x 2.5mm Black Series with post and packaging. Also do you think that this cable will be ok for my MA BR2's, form an old Kenwood KA3020 soon to be upgraded to rotel RA04.
Many Thanks
Breaiden

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hello braiden
The 4x2.5mm will be ideal - I take it you want the cables 'paired' at the Amplifier end or does the amp offer you bi-wire outputs?

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hi Joe
At the moment I have the HF's running off Speaker "A" and the LF's running of Speaker "B". I did originally have the speaker cable paired at the amp end so that the speakers were Bi-Wired All from Speaker "A", but for some reason the speaker sounded muddled at increased volumes and I was not happy with the Bass.
However after wiring them Via speakers A+B they sound much better. I have heard that Cables with silver in them can make the MA's sound overly bright, hence my curiosity to try a different speaker cable along with relocation of the speakers.
I also realise that the amp is probably a factor so going to upgrade that soon too.
Many Thanks
Braiden

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hi Joe,
I have just bought a power amp and am looking to bi-amp my speakers. I require two 12 metre runs of bi-wire cable.
Which would you recommend?
Would the 4 x 4mm make a noticeable difference over the 4 x 2.5mm?
How much would it cost to have the cable pre-terminated with banana plugs?
Do you solder the plugs or are they the regular screw thread banana plugs?
Rgds

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hello oogster
I've used the 2x2.5mm and 4x2.5mm on some pretty exotic speakers so not sure that its essential to go to the 4x4mm cable.
We can Screw, Solder or Crimp your preferred connections to suit your requirements.
I'll PM prices to you over the weekend.
Joe

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
im pretty sure this is what i'd need.
2x 4.0mm 1.5m length with banana plugs to bi amp my dm603s3 from a yamaha 4600
1x 1m 4.0mm length with 4 banana plugs at one end and 2 at the amp end to biwire the centre (if this can be done).
Can you PM me a price?

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hello Sheepking
Many folk argue that all loudspeaker cables 'sound' the same!!!
That said a fair few folk have replaced the QED Silver Anniversary cable with VanDamme Blue and Black Series cable and reported a less bright sound which they preferred.
Getting 2x4.0mm into a single 4mm plug is tricky!
I'll PM details later today.
Joe

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Hi Joe,
I have a new setup to connect - connections will be between Arcam P7 and various PMC (GB1's and TB2 centre) speakers (all bi-wired). I'm assuming that the 4 x 2.5mm will provide the best flexibility and convenience - but if your experience says the 4mm is required, just quote that instead.
At speakers ends, I'd like (soldered) Spade terminals. All the PMC speakers have the same connectors - so I'm guessing you know what size spades are required.
At the Amp end, Banana plugs are more convenient please. (I'm assuming that the 'rigid' part of the plug does not extend more than one inch or so from the connector? .. I ask, as there is only approx 2" of easy clearence from one of the P7 terminals due to stand design. If there is a problem here - I guess spades are the only solution).
All connectors to be soldered please.
Front LR: 2 x 2m for Bi-AMP connections (ensure there is 5" of 'fly' lead exposed at amp end - as there is a 5" gap between the 2 amp modules in use)
Centre: 1 x 2m for Bi-Wire connection ('paired' at amp end)
Surround LR: 2 x 12m for Bi-Wire connection ('paired' at amp end)
Delivery to KT16 9AP
thanks for a quote,
Chas

Re: VanDamme Black Series Bi-wire Loudspeaker cable...
Joe,
Could I please have a quote for the following:
2x 2.0m of the 4mm cable, each with 4x banana's at one end and 4x spades at the other (so altogether 8 banana's and 8 spades).
Cheers
Danny
