Money People

Had a shot of Kenko extension tubes at a friend's house.

1st photos were of a Bank of Scotland £10 note.
The note was at an angle so there is limited depth of field.

Re: My Gallery

Took this leaning out the car window last week on Mull. Was waiting for a herd of cows to pass on a single track road. I really wanted to get out of the car and get some decent shots but they were numerous and all around the car and some looked like they might have been a bit stressed (as if I'd know ) so I chickened out.

Tobermory Robin
I noticed the bokeh is less pleasant than the previous two shots which were taken with the 24-70 f/2.8 L.

This one is my old 75-300mm II.

First trip to the zoo for years... these ones caught my eye initially out of loads of shots.

Re: My Gallery

Some from last months holiday in Egypt.

Exif is intact in each photo.

(1) Table - taken at the hotel bar overlooking the Nile and mountains of Valley of the Kings.

(2) Bird - lots of birds lurked around. Kingfishers ducked and dived and fought with Egrets while sparrows and other smaller birds were not at all shy of approaching the tables.

(3) Balcony - the view from the Sonesta was great although we only had a standard room.

(4) Balloon - one downside of this holiday was the early starts for things like balloon trips. But it was worth it.

(5) Balloon 2 - the trail in the hills crossed from the valley of the kings (or was it queens) to the workers tombs area. Or something like that.

(6) Deflate - the balloon was deflated and all I could think about was the Open University

(7) Sing for Baksheesh - the locals who helped take down the balloon put on a sing-sing for us - and they did it with one thing on their mind - baksheesh!

(8) Falluka - one of the many boats competing for rivertime.

(9) Memnon - driving towards the Valley of the Kings you pass two giant statues of Memnon. One of them is in fact a one armed bandit.

(10) Queen Hatchepsut - mad cross-dressing woman who indulged in murder, incest, and anything to build a huge temple and reign over Egypt.

(11) Pyramids - Giza. Enjoy a romantic camel ride through a rubbish tip on the way to this viewpoint...!

(12) Sphinx - we were there too early in the day and the haze was bad. Any later though and the locals would have been even more unbearable.

(13) Inside Mohammed Ali mosque - the guide neglected to mention they were just murdering bar-stewards. It stank of cheesy feet in here!

(14) Eyeball - broken remants still being assembled in the temple at Karnak yield many intersting things to see.

(15) Avenue of the Sphinxs - a bit of a formula photo this one but had to be done.

(16) Stalls - in case you forgot anything.

(17) - Sunset Falluka - I took shedloads of sunset shots.

(18) - Stella - this holiday was brought to you by our sponsors, Stella - reassuringly inexpensive.
