Mod, apologies in advance if this post is against the rules due to content.

I have never bothered with copying before but due to a portable DVD player and the fact that small children and 10 DVDS worth approx £170 are a major liability I would like to copy the ones most taken out the house using my laptop which supports dual layer.

Looking around google I'm confused and concerned that I'm dowloading something with spyware or worse. My laptop has NTI CD/DVD maker but wont copy due to discs being protected. A google search turned up a few programs but the links ended stating no longer available. I have NEro 6 but assume it wont copy either. what is the easiet solution and also does the quality suffer ( want to use dual layer as less complicated for small folks to use). All this decrypting and _X file stuff is confusing so any pointers would be appreciated.

Copies an entire DVD to your HDD and removes the protection. Then, just burn the files with Nero.

I use CloneDVD (http://www.clonedvd.net/clone-dvd.html) - it does it by pressing one button.

I know there are cheaper/free applications that do this, but this one just works.
