WMP10 started distorting tracks

Hi,

I have used WMP10 a lot over the last 8 months with no problems at all. However, it has suddenly just started distorting mp3 tracks when I play them.

I have tried other media players, MediaMonkey, iTunes, MusicMatch Kukebox etc....and they all play the tracks fine.

The only thing that has changed recently was that I tried out WMP11, but realised it still wasn't that great at the minute, I followed the the Microsoft instructions to revert my machine back to WMP10, and for awhile it played tracks ok.

Does anyone know what might be going on?

Many thanks.

It seems that no-one else has suffered the same problems.

Anyway, I found this bit of info - click here that was helpful.

I also turned off the equaliser, crossfader, SRS WOW.

Works fine again.
