win tv probs

i,m using win tv 2000 on my p.c and it has started to crash the whole computer,it generally does it every time,strange thing is the tv sound continues?by the way,when i say crash,the screen image freezes as does everything else,if i had the install disc i would reinstall,but alas i dont.apart from buying a new one(i know this one is old)what would you suggest?
any help would be welcome

Are you using the latest drivers from Hauppauge?
What model card is it?
