Just ordered an HD-A1 on ebay :-)

Now I see an HD-D1 and it looks the same except black, all black, much better looking. So can anyone confirm any other differences.

I have just found out from a seller in the USA that it is the same.

Only select stores are allowed to sell it.

There is a more fundimental problem with HD-DVD - lack of support from the movie studios - the list of new releases is a pathetic joke.

I'd hardly call The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix trilogies a pathetic joke. And while I loathe Star Trek (and I really do mean LOATHE!!!) the full set of films on HD-DVD will be a massive draw for all those trekkies!! There's actually some cracking titles due out. Warner Bros are big backers of HD-DVD, so expect Superman Returns early next year (maybe even this xmas?? :lease: )

In the flesh the HD-A1 is actually quite a nice looking bit of kit. Very well made and minimalist. I prefer it over the fancier version but the all black version might be nicer... if you like black.

Go and buy some B&O pimp kit if you spend longer looking at the case than watching movies.

Wow, steady on guys, I was only pointing out it was available.

And yes, I do spend more time watching the movie than looking at my kit, but if you had all black stuff and had the choice you cannot tell me you wouldn't choose black.

If I had the option, I'd have gone for all black...
