Cambridge Audio DVD59 and Progressive Scan

Does anyone else here own this player? I've had no problems with it at all, except for the fact that to me, progressive scan (via component) seems to look worse than Interlace. Exactly how is hard to explain. This is the case on two seperate TVs.

Is my player faulty?
