Anyone know how to save GIF files.
For instance someone on a message board posts with a flashing or moving clip (.gif) if you right click and save, it only svaes a still image, not the moving clip, anyone know how I can do it?

In Firefox you just right click on the image and then choose save as and make sure it's got .gif selected as the extension. I think it's the same for IE.

Strange, what are you viewing the gif with? I've just saved a gif using IE beta 3 and it works fine when viewed with windows picture and fax viewer. If you're loading the gif in to an image editing program it's possible that it's only showing the first frame.

excuse my ignorance but what is IE Beta 3?
I am just trying to save it straight from any webpage and then double clicking the saved .gif file on my desktop to open it.
Its only showing the first frame as you mentioned!

IE beta 3 is the newest version of internet explorer you can get it here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx) if you want to try it.
When you've download the image file right click and choose open with and then select internet explorer from the list. If the image works right it's ok and if it doesn't I'm not sure what's happening.
