Behind the times

Is it me or are we lagging the rest of the world as usual.

Trying to get good review of the new JVC GR-DVL 767 in English is near impossible.

BUT

Type the model name into Yahoo and you get a boat load of documents in German or French.

It's all well and good advising someone to go to the manufacturer's website but what's the point, they're not going to tell you the bad points are they!!

So come on, who's who when it comes to independant reviews?

Whilst I'm on, will the likes of Jessops match a price from an on-line mail order company (i.e. PRCdirect) without any hassle? Why not just buy mail order anyway?

Any advise appreciated.

I've also been looking for reviews on that camcorder, no joy yet.

Jessops will try and pricematch but the best ive got so far is £940 on a MX8 which is not good. They would not lower the price of the DVL767, still at £799.
