What ya think? It's about ex-Superman actor GEORGE REEVES and there is already Oscar buzz for the three leads... Brody, Diane Lane and Ben Affleck too !

This looks really good to me. Something for the noir and "LA Confidential" fans maybe?

Looks good. Why dont they just let people rest in peace?, do we really need this movie. On the other hand, it woud be interesting to see the lives they led.

Brings back memories, i used to watch 50's Superman with George Reeves back in the day, most people today dont even know that there was a b/w* superman series. (p.s i used to watch it in the 70s/80s)

*The first twenty-six episodes of the Adventures of Superman were filmed in black-and-white with scripts that were more a reflection of film noir from the forties, than current television trends of the 1950s.

Here's when Superman meets Lucy episode of the I Love Lucy show, Lucy promises little Ricky a visit from Superman for his birthday party. When she thinks Superman is not going to show she decides to dress up like Superman and eventually gets stuck outside the window.

The HOLLYWOODLAND website is now fully done by the looks of it. I'm really looking forward to this now.

Managed to see a preview of this last night, thought it was ok, but that was it, just ok. Found it a bit slow in places, but ok.

Moment that most stuck out for me (spoiler):

When the kid comes up to Superman and asks him if he can shoot him holding a real gun - very tense and great moment

I thought is was really engrossing.

What about the performances?

Affleck was great I thought and...

Diane Lane will win an Oscar nod definately! She was AMAZING!

Yes I agree with you that the acting was great, I wasn't trying to take anything away from that, but as a film overall for me it was ok.

watched it last week, on the hd-dvd combi, was an ok film, it did seem to be a bit drawn out though, so maby a bit overrated,

Seen this last night on SD DVD anyway and WOW maybe not the greatest film ever but enjoyable none of the less and I'll be the first to say that Adrien Brody was fan ****ing tastic, not seen any of his previous efforts but OMG he's great in this, beats Miss Lane anyway but a nod goes to Affleck for some clever voice stuff as Reeves.

Brody is superb, a tour de force of acting, given the right stuff he could be huge.
