View Full Version : BTTF UE 1st Disc Commentary Query?

Hi All,

I recently bought the UE of the BTTF DVD R2 to replace my old 3 discer, I was pleased to read about an "All New Feature Commentary" on the first film and first disc, sadly though it is just that irritating Q&A session again which is on the first boxset anyway.

So my question is does this commentary exist? on R1 maybe? I do like extras so would be willing to get the R1 just for that.

Apologies if this has been answered before, I searched last night but couldn't find an answer and also apologies to those sick of reading BTTF threads.

Many thanks

Liam

Thanks for that Mark, it does state that the R2 UE has the commentary that the R1 has but it's deffo the Q&A version.

Suppose I'll have to sell my set to get the R1 version.

Anyone else feel free to comment on this issue please.

The only thing the R2 set has going for it is DTS, if you want extra's then you want the R1 release as it has audio commentaries for all 3 films.

Looks like R1 is my best bet however I am peed off at the set advertising a commentary which isn't the Q&A then not getting it, I am going to email Universal to question this, not hoping for much but it borders misadvertising in my book.

Where did you see the set advertised as including a new audio commentary for the first film? because I have only ever seen it listed as including new audio commentaries and that is true because the original release had nothing for BTTF 2 & 3 where as the new release does.

On the rear of the box it says Feature Commentary with Robert and Bob etc, and inside the booklet says all new feature commentary wth Robert and Bob.

Had composed an email to them but the page with the form ain't submitting (typical!) will give them a ring to enquire though.

I suppose you can say the rear of the box is advertising no?

I know it is annoying but it isnt uncommen for packaging to be wrong i.e. the new UK Toy Story DVD's listed DTS when they dont include it.

I did notice though that the Q&A session is also included on the 4th Bonus Disc even though it is already on Disc 1 so maybe someone messed up and assumed because the commentary was on the Bonus Disc it was new.

I totally agree with you, not the first and definatley not the last but I would like some clarification* on the matter as you never know it could lead somewhere.

* read excuse if you a Universal Employee!
