I've set up a PC to try out Vista, primarily as a media centre and everything is working fine including PowerDVD 7 outputing Dolby Digital to my amp.
However, when I fire up media center and play a DVD it appears to only pass 2 channel via the SPDIF and definately not Dolby Digital. I have set media center to 5.1 speakers but there appears to be no specific SPDIF or Dolby Digital option.
Anyone know how it can be turned on?
It's an Asus K8N-E Deluxe motherboard with built in ALC850 sound and SPDIF for your information.
