Sony KDF-E50A12U - PS2 USERS

Hi,

I've just purchased a Sony KDF-E50A12U and am running my ps2 with the standard cables. I am playing winning eleven 10 (Pro Evoluion) on NTSC and 60Hz and am suffering from quite big amounts of trailing. Often when a player comes out of shot, there is a one behind them that takes half a second to catch up to the player one indicator above their head. I read this happens alot with LCD screens but i was advised as this was rear projection, it wouldnt have the same problem.

Has anyone else had problems like these? Could anyone give me any advice? I never really read much about the tv trailing (not familar with the correct term) so i am slightly suprised, could it be faulty?

I've played it on this tv and never had any problems, the only difference is I run through component. I dont know if this would effect it though. A good (and cheap) place for the cable is http://www.netpcdirect.co.uk/psx_comp_cable.php

I tried with a 50Hz Pal game and it seemed to work fine. So it is just 60Hz games, which is disappointing When you say component, do you mean you run it through the Red, White, Yellow panel at the side?

no its the one that goes in tha back of the tv red, green and blue and then red and white for the audio. IMO it gives a slightly better image than scart.

I've played slightly more and i am really suprised at the difference between 50Hz and 60 Hz on the same game. On 60Hz, smaller text is harder to read, and whilst playing pro evolution soccer, sometimes when a new player comes onto screen, he'll almost have a copy of half of himself behind him which eventually join up to the rest. When the keeper kicks the ball out, its the same thing with the player one indicator, it just seems strange as the player isn't moving that much whilst waiting for the ball to come down, but it still takes the tv half a second to output the player one indicator as the one image.

You dont by any chance have this game do you? Would like to see if someone else gets the same problem whilst playing on 60Hz. I think any pro evolution soccer game from 4 upwards allows you to select 50Hz or 60Hz when you start up the game. It really got me thinking how the tv would perform when it comes to HD games in PS3!

I play Jak X in progressive and 60hz, looks lovely (for a PS2) and no trailing.

This is via component, no footy games sorry, but seem to recall reading about others having issues with winning 11 somewhere, can't recall what TV \ cables they were using, try a search..
