Black bars!!!!

Guys do you still get black bars at the top and bottom of your screen when watching high def movies on your new High Def dvd players?

You will if you are watching a movie that has an aspect ratio of 2.35:1.

If you want to see a movie reproduced as closely as reasonable to the intention of the Director and as shown in theatres, then there will be many instances when the movie is not the same shape as the TV screen. And, when this happens, the difference has to be made up somehow.
