Hi,

I got out my Terminator 1 2 Disc Set a couple of days ago and my DVD player refused to play it. I looked at the discs and I can only describe them as having started to perish. It looks a bit like acid as been used as there's spots over it.:(
Now I know I've not done that - both discs have suffered the same fate but none of my other discs have suffered like that!

I've tried to find a number for MGM in the UK. Can anyone help? Anyone seen anything similar?

Thanks,

Rob

hi rob.
they issued a recall on that disk a couple of years ago ,i doubt you could send it back now.
you could probably get the ultimate edition with dts sound if you look around.

Thanks. Yes I could use it as an excuse to upgrade the disc - again!

I notice that you can now get the special edition for £3.99 (101CD)

Have a read of THIS (http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86913&highlight=terminator+rot) thread. The original release of Silence of the Lambs was also affected.

There was an 0800 number to ring, but its no longer connected. You could try emailing MGM, but I think the rights have now gone to someone else, so you might be out of luck.

Thanks for the info. As you say I'm probably out of luck. I've just reordered a new copy and binned the old one :)

Yeah, washing them in warm soapy water can sometimes do the trick.

Thanks monkeyboy - I'll give that a try later this evening. I have already re-ordered it but for £3.99 I'm not too worried!
