Supplied power cable, grounded?

I noticed when i was going to connect the AC power cord that it was grounded.

How have you all done? does the player need to be grounded or shall i just exchange the cable with a no grounded cable as my transformer can't accept a grounded AC connector.

I suppose the transformer is shielded between 110V and 230V right?
