PowerDVD - no highlighting on DVD Menus

I am using an Radeon 7500 with 6071 drivers and PowerDVD XP (on top of Windows XP).

The issue is that with hardware acceleration enabled in PowerDVD I don't seem to get any highlighting on DVD menus. If I turn off hardware acceleration support in PowerDVD highlighting comes back.

This may be a well known issue but I could not find much in searches on the forum and as I am setting up a HCPC this is a bit of a pain.

Anyone have any ideas?
