24 and Prison Break - What next ?? Recommendations please !!
My wife and I have just finished watching Prison Break and all of the 24's having found them very addictive. We also watched Tru Calling which was entertaining.
What would you recommend we start watching now which is just as addictive as these three series ???
Many thanks,
Foxy.

Murder One: Season 1 - definitely. An oldie but a damn amazing show.
Supernatural is showing promise (I'm about 6 episodes in).
I've also picked up Medium S1 which is supposed to be good too.

PIck up Series 1 of The Shield, guarantee you will like that, a bit more hard hitting than other series, but throughly addictive and enjoyable!! You wont regret it!

Thanks for all your replies so far.
Forgot to say that I've watched all The Shield Series so far, excellent, and my wife has watched Lost, she seems to like them.
Keep 'em coming.

I love 24 and Prison Break too, I'd recommend Sleeper Cell, Alias, The Wire and The Shield to start with.
Here's a list of what I watch (I'm sure there's more but I can't remember them all):
• 4400, The (Sci Fi, really good)
• Alias (Female Bauer, great show, need to start from season 1 for sure)
• Arrested Development (Great american comedy)
• Curb Your Enthusiasm (Another great american comedy)
• Family Guy (Awesome animated comedy)
• Lost (Often slow, but always ends with a bang)
• The O.C (Easy to watch)
• Shield, The (Season 6 starts Jan, can't wait!)
• Sleeper Cell (Awesome mini-series, season 2 just been announced)
• Veronica Mars (OC with crime solving)
• Without A Trace (Pretty good, follows a FBI missing persons team)
• Wire, The (Amazing show, if you like the shield, watch this)
Yes Murder One is another great show (Only season 1 though).
Not seen Deadwood, always hear good things though so will check that out soon.
Hope that helps.

Gotta watch The West Wing. It's the best programme I've ever seen. Series 1-4 in particular are almost perfect examples of TV drama.

Battlestar Galactica, The Wire and The Sopranos. Best 3 serial TV dramas ever made. Or Taken and Band Of Brothers as single series brilliance. Having said that they are all a bit more serious than 24 and Prison Break. Lost or the new Doctor Who are probably the closest in terms of good cliffhanger endings and just plain fun.

I think almost everything worth recommending has been recommended....
I would add:
The Dead Zone (season 4 now out on DVD - get the US/R1 versions, much cheaper, more content; supernatural/sci-fi thriller/drama based on the Stephen King novel)
Six Feet Under (5 seasons - season 5 still a bit dear, drama/black comedy)
Millenium (3 seasons - about £13-£16 online at the moment per 6-disc season boxset; psychological thriller / horror / supernatural)
Dead Like Me (2 seasons - season 2 is US/R1 version only; supernatural comedy drama)
Revelations (miniseries starring Bill Pullman, US/R1 version only; thriller)
Profit (shortlived US series from 1996 with Adrian Pasdar, US/R1 version only; drama/very very dark humour)
Kingpin (mini(ish)series, available as "Kingpin - The Producer's cut" on DVD, US/R1 much much cheaper than UK/R2 version; crime/mob drama)
