Ipod Video 60GB Problem

I got my Ipod Video 60GB at Christmas and since then it has worked fine. Theonly change that I made to it was that when I put a song on itunes, I deleted the album names for all the songs because sometimes i would see two of the same artists under the "Artist" section of my ipod. Plus I also wanted to be able to just go into the "Artist" section of my Ipod and be able to see all their songs that I had added without having to choose between albums. When I did this it sorted that problem and my ipod was fine until earlier this week. All of a sudden when I go into the "Artists" section of my Ipod, I see the names of some songs but no artist names. I then deleted all my songs & then I inserted my original Ipod disc that came with it & I restored my Ipod back to factory settings. Then I decided I was going to put all the songs on again since I had restored my ipod. I went to put one of the old songs on but when it loads up onto itunes, the album name is still left empty in itunes. I decided to upload just that one song and when I go into my "Artist" section of my Ipod, all i see is the name of the song. Can anybody help me please?

I dont know if this is a widespread problem and it didnt happen to me but a friend needed to give all the songs an album name, doesnt matter what but they just needed a name, otherwise they wouldn't appear (kinda like your problem), try giving them all the same album name or leave them with there original names, if you wanna see all the songs by one artist just go to the artist name then all songs.

I got the problem sorted! Thanks! Is there any tips to improve the sound from my ipod? I have both Creative EP-630 earphones & Sony EX71 earphones which are suppoesed to be two of the best you can buy. But when I went into the "get info" of a song file in itunes, it showed a volume bar in the bottom left that allowed me to adjust it to 100%. It was at 50% by default. There was also something about an equalizer but i didnt want to tamper with the settings until i understood!

You don't want to set the volume adjustment to 100% as this just causes the original sound to just get messed up, unless the original is really really quiet leave this at default as it will reduce quality. Feel free to mess with the equalizer, click on the three vertical bars in the bottom right of itunes to bring up an equalizer. Basically it alters 'on the fly' how much of different frequencies can be heard, so say if you wanted a really bassy sound it could up the low frequencies and reduce the high frequencies. No harm can come form it though as it doesn't actually alter the original file, the best way to see if you want the equalizer on is to try it at different settings (there are presets under those three lines, bass booster etc etc.), this will probably improve the way you hear it. Otherwise the only way to improve the sound you hear would be to get a higher bitrate version of the original file on your computer, other than that the ipod is stuck at its present quality level. The improved headphones you've already got are all you can really do beyond equalizing.
