View Full Version : How do I search for B&W in For Sale?
When I search for B&W in For Sales I never get any hits but I can see adverts that contain that manufacturer. I've tried placing quotation marks around B&W but still no joy.
Can anyone help please?

It looks as if the site search engine doesn't know what an & is. Under search google search B&W works but gives you 62,800 hits on the avforums:eek: so I think you're stuck with searching the classifieds by hand. Sorry...

Thanks Dave. That's a pity because the amount of gear being sold makes searching for one manufacturer quite difficult. I knew I should have bought Kefs instead!!!

Ray.

Put a request in the Forum feed back bit . The minimum letter thing is to avoid the 82000 hits . But I believe there is a hit list , if you like , of shorter words . 24 being one of them I believe

John,
I'm struggling to find the link. If you could point me in the right direction I'll certainly request it.
Thanks,
Ray.

If you put the model number after the search it works, for example
http://www.avforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=4361593
:) you just can't search "B&W" on it's own for some reason.

Thanks for the tip, that will help. It's probably something to do with the ampersand being used as a search character such as "expensive" & "plasma".
Cheers,
Ray.
