Question Cabinet discolouration

The wooden cabinets (cherry) of my floorstanders have darkened with exposure to sunlight and have a fine appearance. However when the grills were removed there is a slight colour differential with the surrounding area.If the grills are left of will it achieve uniformity ? If not any suggestions ? The speakers are about 4 months old.

Hi Lynx

Not sure really. They´ll either end up with uniformity or both darken at the same rate, at some time it should reach a point where it no longer darkens.

Might just be a case of leaving the grills off and see what happens.

You need a wood expert!!

The temptation to make a witty reply to this is immense, but I've resisted!

On the same topic(ish)... Anyone have any ideas how ro re-blacken scuffed Blash Ash Cabinets? For tiny marks a permenent marker is perfect, but we're talking scuffs here.

Cheers,

Mark.
