Best sound setting on Denon 1906 for TV

I have just purchased the Denon 1906, and have connected my TV audio to it by the audio out connection.

I have set up the 1906 to pro logic cimena, however as mu input is two channel, I do not get real surround sound.

I have a spare SCART socket that could be used for output, but do not know what connections or set up I should use (SCART can be set to S-Video)

Can anyone assist a somewhat bemused guy!!

A TV is only going to output a stereo signal, whatever connection method you use. The only sources that give "proper" 5.1 sound are DVDs, Sky+ (but still not on normal TV channels), some computers and games consoles, and maybe some cableTV boxes (again, not for normal TV channels).

Prologic is the best you can hope for. Try the different effect modes, and see which you prefer.
Your current method of connection is fine. Unless the TV has a digital output (optical or coax), stick with the phono cable that you're using now.
