Sagem HD-D50 Hair on Screen?

Hi all,

I have had my Sagem TV for a week now and whilst showing my dad how good it was, my wife noticed what can only be described as a hair on the screen? See Image.

I have not noticed this in a weeks of viewing and so beleive it to be new. Is it a hair or similar on the mirror? and if so, how can I get rid of it or do I need to call Sagem out?

Thanks
Mike

I'll Call 'em

James,

I have just been to Sagem's website and it looks like I will be calling and testing the "2 year on site warranty" tomorrow.

I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks
Mike

R906?

Mine is an R906 model (assuming you mean the first 4 digits of the serial number) and I wondered if you could tell me what difference this makes?

Thanks
Mike

Loads of people think R906 mean 2006 build R905 means 2005 build. This is not true either.
There just serial numbers.

He's Coming

The engineer called today, offered to come out tomorrow, but due to work pressures, I can't get away, so we settled on Monday AM.

Let's see how good the repair / punctuality is.

So far so good Sagem!

Excellent Service Sagem - Well Done

Well, today was the day that the engineer was due to remove the "hair" from my screen.

He was due at 10am and at 10:05 the doorbell rang. He came in and said that he thinks he knew where it was and began dismantling my TV.
Whilst doing so he explained everything he was doing and even took time out to show me, on his laptop, how a DLP TV works.
Once the screen was off the fault was obvious, a slither of the case had dropped in front of the screen. This was duely removed, put in the bin and the TV put back together again.
He filled in his paperwork, I signed it and he was on his way.

I would like to say that I am impressed with:-
Having a 2 year on site warranty
The way the fault was dealt with on the phone
The short time from call to engineer arrival (2 days)
The engineers timekeeping and knowledge.

I would gladly recommend a Sagem TV to anyone.

Well done Sagem, five star customer service - Thanks

Mike
